SYNOPSIS

Molly is a reclusive artist, obsessed with painting her pierrot character, Silhouette. After one of her paintings manifests Silhouette as a marionette in the physical world, her secluded life is soon interrupted by a mysterious invitation to a theater show that upcoming Saturday at midnight.

As the week progresses and the time draws near, Molly feels called to attend the show. Strange characters loiter the theater, seemingly expecting Molly's arrival. Once inside, she's met by cloaked puppeteers surrounding a front row seat, glowing in the spotlight. She takes her seat just in time, and as midnight strikes, Molly's long-awaited journey of fantasy and magic begins.

DIRECTOR BIO

Xavier Rodriguez is a writer-director based in Los Angeles, California.

He began his journey of artistic expression in high school, forming a band that incorporated theatrics into their live shows. Xavier then moved on to live performances of original characters. His craft developed and matured through designing and creating costumes and makeup, and by building props for shows that highlighted these characters. Diving deeper into their worlds and their adventures, he found storytelling through film to be a natural transition. With this medium, he was able to combine all his passions and deliver his art in the most potent form, drawing inspiration from the beauty and darkness that accompany the human experience, along with the mystery, wonder, and often terror of the otherworldly.

Xavier has just completed his directorial debut, SATURDAY BIZARRE.
